How to delete your data from Keepsake

Delete Individual Entries

  1. Open the Keepsake app
  2. Delete multiple: On Home, long-press any entry to enter select mode → select multiple → Delete
  3. Delete one: Open an entry → tap Delete
  4. Tap Undo in the toast if you deleted by accident (available for a few seconds)

Result: Entry deleted immediately from your device.

Delete All Data At Once

Want to clear everything and start fresh?

  1. Open Keepsake → Settings
  2. Scroll to Privacy & Data section
  3. Tap Clear All Data (red button)
  4. Confirm the warning dialog

Result: All entries, presets, and preferences deleted immediately. Your app resets to default settings.

⚠️ Warning: This action cannot be undone. We recommend exporting a JSON backup first if you want to keep your data.

About Accounts & Cloud

Keepsake is local-first and does not require an account. If you want to remove your data, delete individual entries as described above. In future, if cloud sync is added, you can manage it from the app settings. If you use device-level backups (Google backup), manage those backups from your device settings.

Want to keep a copy of your data?

  1. Settings → Export Data
  2. Choose format (JSON)
  3. Save to your device
  4. Then proceed with deletion
