At Keepsake, we believe your personal memories belong to you — and only you. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

We use privacy filters to automatically remove any sensitive data before sending error reports. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy. You can also contact us anytime to request details about what error data we have collected.

Purchase Data (Pro subscribers only, via RevenueCat)

If you subscribe to Keepsake Pro, payments are processed through the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives:

3. Where Your Data Lives

Local-first by design: All your saves, context, and mood tags are stored in your device's local storage (AsyncStorage). They do not sync to our servers and are not accessible to us.

No cloud backup by default: Keepsake deliberately excludes your data from Android's automatic cloud backup (Google Drive backup). Your data stays on your device unless you manually export it.

If we introduce optional cloud sync in the future, it will be clearly labelled and opt-in only.

Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security (lock screen, encryption). We recommend keeping your device protected.

We do not transmit your personal content over the internet. The app uses HTTPS for all network requests (crash reporting, subscription checks) and blocks cleartext HTTP traffic.

If you contact support, we use your message only to help resolve your issue. We do not store support conversations beyond what is necessary.

6. Children's Privacy

Keepsake is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and shared personal data, contact us at apps.metta.dev@gmail.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or on this page.

The short version: Your saves live on your device. We can't read them. We don't sell anything. Crash reports are anonymous. Pro payments go through Google/Apple — we never see your card. You can export or delete everything at any time.
